HMOCS, is a minority owned mental health agency. We offer services that include individual, play, family, couples and group therapies. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of clinical care, specifically designed to improve the overall emotional well being of people experiencing difficulty managing depression, mood, anxiety, anger, impulses, obsessions & trauma that includes severe neglect, physical, emotional & sexual abuse. The modals of treatment used include Aaron Beck's Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Minuchin's Structural Family Therapy and Yalom's group therapy. These evidenced based modals of treatment lend itself to improved overall emotional well-being for individuals, improved family communication and relations, & teaches angry people how to manage their anger/rage. HMOCS also provide professional trainings and/or workshops to mental health professionals needing Continuing Education Units. Trainings & workshops include the following: Diagnosing & Effective Treatment Planning: Utilizing DSM V, Understanding Ethics & HIV/AIDS, Clinical Note Writing, Adolescent Depression, Effective Case Management & Licensure prep courses to include LCSW-Cs, LGSWs & LICSWs needing to pass the Social Work Licensure Exam.

She has a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology and both Master & Bachelor Degrees in Social Work. Work experiences include Child Welfare Neglect & Abuse, Community Mental Health, Gerontology, DCPS Head Start Program, Domestic Violence, Medical Social Worker, & individuals that were homeless. These work experiences have afforded decades of group work with parents, at risk teens & psychiatric patients. She's a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of supervisory & training experiences. Years have been devoted to teaching Social Workers how to prepare and pass the Social Work Licensure exam.
